Check out the "What You Will Own Table" and the Growing Money Charts. Basically, this table will show you what your future expenses might be when you consider "inflation". For example, say a roof costs $10,000 today. You'll need a new roof in five years and you think that the prices will "inflate" at about 5 percent compounded a year. Using the Growing Money Chart, you find the 5 percent, five year factor is 1.28. Multiplying this factor times the current estimated cost, you'll estimate that a new roof, in five years, will cost you $ 12,800. If you web wizards would volunteer, I'd get you to make these growth sheets into worksheets! I have them in Lotus, maybe I'll figure out how to load them into this Front Page. For a full blown Retirement Seminar Outline, go to Where I explain this chart and a lot of others that relate to Earnings, Inflation and Compounded Interest |
